Human Capital Management enables a more cohesive methodology when it comes to Knowledge and Information Management across the board, which in turn helps in continuous fine tuning of People Processes in an Organization.
Make no mistake, the current scenario (Read: Recession/Layoffs) will cease to exist (at least partially) in another 18 months time. Organizations which are currently operating under the belief that they can continue with archaic People Management Systems because their employees 'are not going anywhere' in the current scenario, may witness a large scale exodus of talent as soon as the first signs of recovery become visible. One might think that these Organizations would have no problems 'refilling' the vacancies, but any good Manager/CEO will tell you this: It is Never Easy To Get The Right People for The Right Job even in the Best of Times!
